he ECFNC quarterly Book Club will be hosting their first meeting and discussing the topic of Traditional Ecological Knowledge. To participate, choose any book on the topic, read it, and come prepared to introduce yourself, your book, and participate in discussion on the thematic topic. The meeting will start with a roundtable of introductions and sharing, followed by some guided discussion questions and the opportunity to provide suggestions for themes at upcoming book club meetings.

The formal meeting is only one hour long, but people are welcome to stay until the library closes at 8 to either continue discussion, socialize, swap books, or pick out a new book while they’re there. If that’s not long enough, there is a nearby dessert cafe that stays open until midnight for those that want to continue to socialize.

If you have any questions, or would like to let us know that you plan to come, please e-mail us at bookclub@essexcountynature.com. We hope to see you there!
