Essex County Nature Champions of Conservation
This week the Essex Region Conservation Authority (ERCA) awarded several champions of conservation awards to the Essex County Field Nats! Award recipients included: Lynda Corkum, Phil Roberts and Gerry Waldron! Congratulations to all! Field Naturalists to have received the award previously: David Kraus, Betty Learmouth, Ian Naisbitt, Paul Pratt, and Daniel Mennill!

The Port Authority is planning the clear cutting of Ojibway Shores! Ojibway Shores has over 12 hectares of woodlot, a marshy pond and 430 metres of natural Detroit River shoreline.
